I was going to point out how the intersection between the water and the beach had some clipping issues, and how you could smooth it out with some more polys. But then I realized that doesn't happen on real beaches. The water is either waving against the beach or it's calm and barely lapping. I would make the water calmer depending on the depth of the water and almost completely calm at the beach line. You can do that by making a customized displacement map to create the water instead of actual polygons. Here's a tutorial on how if you don't already know. I would also add an area of disturbance in the sand around the tree. It's been growing there for a while after all. Some larger stones and even rocks on the beach would add a lot to the realism. The lighting needs a little work as well. It's just a little too dark on that island for an afternoon in the tropics.

It's a good scene. Keep at it.

Depends on if that sun is behind the clouds. I think a few small rocks is a good idea, the disturbance in the sand also.. The water, actually looks good, but small ripples or waves near the shore would add more to the image too.
Anyway, I do like the style and the feel of the image, sets a nice mood.

I really like this picture. It makes me feel tranquil and makes me want to visit the bahamas.

I like this picture. The water does not look 100 % realistic, but its good enough. The sand texture is great too.

Keep it up !!!
